This is an experienced coding position focused on review of documentation and coding. This position will ensure accurate coding and claim submission and

Remote Info: Remote working after on-site training (2-4 weeks). Must be located in the Portland, OR Metro Area. Flexible hours — any 8 hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Minimum Two (2) years work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum One (1) year of professional coding experience.
• Prefer two (2) year work experience at a healthcare facility.
• Prefer one (1) year of professional coding and/or auditing experience in one
• or more of the following areas: evaluation and management (E&M), procedural/surgical, emergency department or anesthesia.
• Working knowledge of the EpicCare system.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Previous experience with EMR patient documentation system with intermediate knowledge and skill in the use of a computer.
    • Advance knowledge of disease processes, diagnostic and surgical procedures, Inpatient ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS/CPT classification systems, health information/medical record department responsibilities with knowledge of government regulations and areas of scrutiny for potential fraud and abuse issues.
    • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology and medial coding principles for ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS/CPT and coding.
    • Fluent in English, demonstrating skill and proficiency in oral and written communication.
    • Skills in time management, organization and analytical skills.
    • Ability to manage a significant workload and to work efficiently under pressure meeting established deadlines with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to use independent thought and judgement.
    • Abides by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set for by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
    • Meets and maintains department standard for performance, productivity and quality.
    • Department will furnish final candidate a coding skill test. The candidate will be required to pass with a 75% or better on the test.
    • Academic knowledge and working experience performing coding and abstracting responsibilities in health information/medical record services.

    CT SUPERVISOR - Burlington, VT

    JOB SUMMARY

    The CT Supervisor supervises staff and the daily operations associated with a UVMMC Radiology service area. Ensures that mandates from regulatory agencies are in compliance for quality imaging, quality control and quality assurance for technologists, radiologists, physicists, equipment, and patient records.

    Performs clinical procedures and oversees the clinical instruction for students and technologists. Participates in development of Radiology policies and procedures.

    Supervisors assist the Radiology Manager with long range planning and the operational budget for specific Radiology service area. As part of the management team, the supervisor assists the manager in fulfilling departmental goals.

    MUST HAVES

    • ARRT OR NMTCB board certified
    • CT certification required
    • 5 years experience in CT
    • Experience in participating in inspection and accreditation within CT

      RADIATION THERAPIST - Lewiston, ID

      JOB SUMMARY

      The Radiation Therapist is an ARRT Registered Therapist who is responsible for the administration of radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. The Therapist will have to interact with a variety of people including, but not limited to patients with cancer, physicians, nurses, patient’s family, and co-workers. Therapist must possess good interpersonal communication skills. The disease of cancer may strike any age group necessitating that this position be involved in the care of all age groups from newborns through geriatrics.

      MUST HAVES

      • High School Diploma or GED
      • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
      • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a Radiation Therapist
      • Must have knowledge of department functions, how and why radiation therapy is used, and be able to explain this to nurses, physicians, Medical Center staff, and the public Continuing education as prescribed by JCAHO, and A.R.R.T.

      NICE TO HAVES

      • Experience in a Radiation Oncology Department is desirable but not required
